Tommy Pelletier, a 2001 graduate of Portland High School in Portland ME, overcame a difficult childhood to build a successful career as a currency trader. He credits teachers in the Portland Public Schools with helping him recognize and develop his math ability. A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he now works at a private equity firm and he is very involved in the lives of his two children.
