As dreadful as this is, this was the ultimate "we don't give a flying fuck" moment in Eurovision, if you'll excuse the pun. For that, Scooch will always have a special place in the hearts of UK Eurovision fans. :D

The other option, other than getting an American as lead or co-lead vocalist, is to avoid entering veterans and long-dormant has-beens. But to be honest, I think Bonnie might have fared a little better if her voice didn't give way before the weekend.  Courageous it was for her to give it her best shot with the voice she had.

The last time they won, in 1997, the lead singer (Katrina Leskanich) was American. They might have to consider trying that again if they want to get back in the top 10. As for Scooch, the song sounds like it came from the mid-1990s.
