I used to play this game back in the day on my friend's dad's computer. it took us about six months to work out that you had to press shift and full stop to go down a level. we just used to roam about on the first level until we died from lack of food!
You feel too weak from lack of food. You faint....you can move again!

My friends always laugh at me for playing old games like this, but I think these games have more ingenuity in them then most of the newer ones. Rogue is a classic and I love it! (Along with Zork!)

The best way to deal with slime is to lure them into a narrow corridor and hack away one at a time. This way they can't gang up on you from all sides. I wonder if anyone ever beaten this game.

The first pc game I bought in 1988 was this game. It was put out by Epyx. it's a copy or simplified version of the Adventure game from back in the mainframe days. If you tried to play a copied disk you were jumped right away and a tombstone appeared, saying you were killed by the copy protection police!
