Windows 7: Gadgets, Stickies, Calculator, and Screenshots

This video shows off several new features in the Windows 7 Beta.

Gadgets are very similar to the ones in Vista, except that the annoying Sidebar has been removed.

Sticky Notes are similar to the Stickies which have been in Mac for years. My main gripe with this application is that you need to have it open for the stickies to remain, wasting space in your task bar.

The calculator has gotten a makeover, and taken the extremely simple application into a somewhat useful application.

The "Snipping Tool" is the tool used to take screenshots. I have long been against the print-screen key, and this is a major improvement. However, I believe that Microsoft could further improve this by using intuitive keyboard shortcuts to select a window, window element (e.g. pane, start menu), select by cropping your desktop, or take a picture of your entire desktop.

It's a sound added by my recording software when I click. It seems like it's a bit behind the video though, probably because of a poor export. Sorry about that!

Windows 7 is obviously just a service pack to windows vista

It adds a lot more functionality (and stability!) than a service pack would, but because of the lame final release of Vista (and subsequent service pack releases),Windows 7 really ought to be given out as a free upgrade to those who already have Vista.

How can i increase refresh rate of cpu meter gadget??

it it posible to adjust the refresh rate on the cpu meter, i have windows 7 instaled and chek't out the gadgets and the cpu meter is kinda slow refreshing compared to vista and i want the acurisy of vista, can i hack the uptade rate ?????
