Tips on Storing Leftover Bread - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats.

Many people think that storing bread in the refrigerator is a good option. Unfortunately it is not. It will create mold on your bread and it will make your bread get stale faster. The better option if you do not think that you can consume the bread before it will go bad is to wrap it very tightly and put it in the freezer. Bread does freeze very very well. All the way from dough stage, all the way through the finished product.

Now, if you have already cut your bread you still want to make sure that you get it in a very nice air tight container. If the bread is cut you want to make sure that you wrap it very tightly in plastic or put it in a bread bag. What you might find is the very outside of that bread might become a little bit stale and hard. So you may have to slice off a little bit before you serve it and waste off a small piece. That is why it is always better to save your bread whole whenever possible.
