101th Dipsea Race winner for 2011, Jamie Rivers, second place winner Hans Schmid and third place winner Brian Pilcher.

The Dipsea Race is the second oldest foot race in the U.S.(Second to the first oldest, The Boston Marathon) My great Aunt Minnie used to run the race in the early 1900's disguised as a woman because they did not allow women to run. My sister, Colleen ran her 42nd consecutive Dipsea Race today. She has run the race twice 7 months pregnant.

  • Congratulations Jamie and ' Hi Sharon! ' :-)

  • @gragrn Thanks for the shout-out gragrn. Hope you had an great weekend...obviously I did. Our family has been running this race for over 100 years and my sister, Colleen, just ran her 42nd consecutive Dipsea Race today. I wiped out in the race 2 years ago so I don't run it any more but for years I've been volunteering in the morning of the race with an enthusiastic band of awesome volunteers. The Dipsea Race is the Fox Family Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone!

  • 1:06 "Keep it going keep it going" Does she want her to do another lap?!! Woman acts like she's managing an escalator. Wouldn't want a two person pile up! Oh the horror!
