Before I moved to the UK in 2008, I spent four years in Vermont, as a student at Middlebury College. When I saw the photos of the destruction caused by Hurricane Irene, I felt so heartbroken: our beautiful state was so badly beaten up, not to mention the long-term toll it's taken on the livelihoods of Vermonters! I wanted to find a way to help out from overseas.
Last August, I was remembering the summers I spent in Vermont, especially the torrential rains that often worked their way up the Eastern Seaborad, and I wrote the song "Hurricane Season." This summer, as I got ready for the release of the track, Hurricane Irene hit, so instead of doing a traditional release, I decided to set up this page to use the track to raise money for the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund.
Any donation, no matter the size, will receive as a thank-you a free MP3 of the track "Hurricane Season."
