So much music!
-
trust me joe it belongs there!

One of the few guitars actually able to make the blues interesting! Amazing guy! ;D
-
He was also such a nice guy...so humourous..never took himself too seriously.
I recall watching him at Ronnie Scotts Club in 1977 (UK) and he stopped halfway thru doing Morris Alberts song "Feelings" (which was high in the charts at the time)
and tells the audience " What is this crap? I hate this song. It goes nowhere!"
We were in hysterics! Amazing musician.
-
How about when he pulls the pick out of his mouth at 4:26 and keeps it going with hammer-ons? Amazing!
-
Joe Pass is my all time favorite. Is there anyone playing today in this style, with this kind of virtuosity?
-
Normally I play with the fingers but if I play a solo I'll play with the pick.

So very enjoyable !!

this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen. i absolutely love it.
what a way to involve teh audience in active listening. when I try and look for the "joe pops" i end up diving even deeper into his playing. never disappoints.
best jazz guitarist EVER.

You're right doublealufwaffe, nobody knows this. (Get it!)
We are all so fortunate to have these video memories. I dont compare guitarists and dont usually speak in absolutes, but Joe Pass is THE best Jazz Guitarist, past, present, and as far as I am concerned, the future!
