I met Charles Porter from United Coalition East Prevention Project when I was working on a cover story for the LA Weekly, Coming Of Age In The Mouth Of Madness. He was advocating to clean up the Ford Hotel

excerpt: "Man, it was ghetto up in the Ford. Crackheads and handicap people. Lots of murders, lots of killings. I even witnessed a death right in my face. She was like a mother to me. It was messed up, seeing her die."

Whats to stop the Ford from going back to how it was in 10-20 years? You got the same people in that area selling drugs, up to no good.
