Hey man do you know the name of the mount you have in the video? When I get my license I'll setup the CB but I don't know where the best place for the radio would be. I like where you have it because you really don't have to drill any holes to get the wires through the hood and the firewall. (Right?) Also you can take it off easily for a drivethru.

@MrChevyman95 yeah ive got a 99 z71 tahoe and its in the same spot he has it. mine doesnt have that cup holder though its all solid dash

@Gunnardotson12 19 is the unofficial trucker station. people use different channels in different areas, like in ms 5 6 11 19 and 21 are popular it varies where you are. i know further north 23 picks up fairly well and i can usually talk to people with my kicker.

How much factory output does your radio have?

You may also want to put a dpdt switch on so you can toggle back and forth from Ignition power to constant battery. If your like me and you like to kill your engine and talk to reduce engine noise it may run your battery down faster than it would if you just left it on all night. A Cobra29 ltd naturally wants to pull current as much as .5-1 amps with no activity depending on your volume control which is not enough to run your battery down overnight. It may take weeks in some cases

Dude i love this setup. I got the same truck and i was going to put it by my right knee in the drivers footwell because i didn't know if the upholder would support it with out falling open. Great set-up man. You helped me make up my mind
