We are just sojourners here on earth. We are to be proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom. We are looking forward to the rule and reign of Christ. No nation on earth is our home. We are to spread the peace the come from serving our sovereign Lord.

There are extremes in the pastor department just like any other entity in life. On one side there are pastors who will not take a stand for anything (or are even themselves immersed in sin) and at the other end of the spectrum pastors take a stand against kool-aid. Neither ends will bring the majority to a consensus.
