Deer Ridge Mountain Resort - Hi Def Time Lapse Drive To Gatlinburg And Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

This was one of my first tests of a windshield mount for my hi def Canon HF-21 camcorder. Still need to play with the set up some - but this video shows the drive time and road scenery of 321 from Deer Ridge Mountain Resort back to civilization. We have the best view in the Smokies - but get your groceries and shopping done on your way here to avoid the LONG drive back to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Kroger's, Wal-Mart and Tanger Mall in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Time lapse was a 3:1 time compression using Sony Vegas Pro 9.

I stayed at Deer Ridge last weekend. Granted it's not right there on the strip, but for myself and my family that's a selling point. I'd rather see and hear the mountains in the middle of the night than cars and trucks. I'll grant that the rental staff did seem for the most part a little brusque, to put it mildly. So I'm hoping that you'all are successful in your apparent effort to get rid of your rental management, and hope to still be welcome there afterward when things even out.
