Cumbric ( CWMBRAIC) was originally spoken from the Forth to the Mersey. There are still a few Cumbric place names left out side Cumberland & Westmorland, like Pen-y-Ghent in Yorkshire.

It wasn't the Saxons at all. Cumbria's original language, which would have replaced the pre-Celtic British language, was dealt blows by the Norse, the Scots and the Angles.

its the whole of north england not just cumbria you know that used cumbric aka the kingdom of Rheged until saxons destroyed almost all the words etc until alot was found in wales when we fled now theres a translation underway
