@juliaisafilmbuff123 Because Los Angeles is nothing like this now. America is not as financially prosperous, and CSUN is largely attended by illegal aliens and the children of current and former illegal aliens. If you could magically transport the student body of Cal State Northridge in 1968 to present day So. Calif., most would probably move out of this state as soon as they graduated ... just like most of them have left CA now that they are entering their retirement years.

OMG! I remember when we took over the main office at Teledyne and the cops shot tear gas at us.I think Teledyne was west of the campus, and we marched there and took it over! We broke down the door and did a sit-in there. I was a liberal then, but I have since grown up. Now, I find it hard to believe that I thought that way.

When the FBI showed up at my house, I knew this was serious.. Disrupting classes and sit ins in the Administration building meant trouble. But it was unconscionable that it was "business as usual", while students were being mowed down by the National Guard.
