They all get scared when Casper approaches them and ask's to be their friend. Then something great happens, Caspar makes friends with a little fox. Animation by Myron Waldman, Morey Reden and Nick Tafuri. Scenics by Anto Loeb. Story by Bill Turner and Larry Reilly. Music by Winston Sharples. Narrator is Frank Gallop. This film was Produced in 1948 and is in the Public Domain. The archival footage was supplied by http://www.archive.org ....Very Cute Film.......Enjoy!!!

  • No, technically speaking, Casper and Ferdie did not "live" happily ever after, because they were both dead.

    This cartoon is downright weird in depicting the death of a cute little character, but cartoons in 1948 were NOT intended just for children. They were shown in movie theaters to audiences of adults. It wasn't till the '50s, when cartoons started being shown on TV, that they became strictly aimed at kids.

    Nonetheless, this is still unsettling.
