Power yoga is a popular exercise routine in many parts of the world. While based largely on the methods and principles of traditional Asthanga yoga, power yoga focuses on improving the strength and flexibility of the body. This is the main difference between power yoga and traditional yoga, which focuses on the spiritual enhancement of the body and mind as well.
Power yoga is essentially a Vinyasa style of Ashtanga yoga in which the practitioner transitions from one pose to another using rhythmic breathing. Power yoga utilizes both physical and mental elements of the body to strengthen it. It is a complete physical routine which mainly focuses on the body. Power yoga is excellent for those who are training for various sports. Here's how you can improve strength and flexibility using power yoga.
• In power yoga, strength and flexibility are almost synonymous. To gain flexibility, water works can be an effective workout. Water is one of the key ingredients in the power yoga exercises. Since our body is composed largely of water, water is essential in keeping it strong and healthy. Water takes up the spaces between the joints, muscles and all the organs. It oils our body and helps in the smooth movement of all the body parts. If you are not hydrated completely, you are more likely to injure yourself. Drinking lots of water to keep your body hydrated is absolutely necessary if you want to increase your flexibility.
• To improve your flexibility using power yoga make sure that you are dedicated to your practice and are following your routine every single day. If you perform power yoga only once in a while, there are good chances that you may not be able to achieve your goals. Since power yoga is a rigorous routine, you may also feel a lot of discomfort in your body if you do not practice it regularly. It is also important to have patience with your own body and understand its needs in order to make it more flexible.
• For beginners, it is advised that only those classes which are taken by certified yoga professionals should be attended. The professional should be able to understand the individual needs of your body. They should also be able to teach you how to breathe during the moves and how to transition from one yoga pose into another. The trainer should also be able to understand your fitness levels and then design your programme accordingly........,TV9 LADIES CLUB - HOW TO GAIN FLEXIBILITY WITH RHYTHMIC POWER YOGA,
