I think you may be somewhat naive about the military. Most are noble people who join for the right reasons and are honorable. They obey orders under service like the police force of your town. In fact, civilians are just as much or more responsible for allowing politicains to direct military operations illegally against foreign countries. Many ignorant rage at the stick (military), not the "Fat Cats" and bullies.
