  • Oooooooohhhhh....this is the real deal. I think future ages will look at the early-mid 20th century as a period of extraordinary musical treasures. Here's one such jewel.

  • This is one of my all time favourite songs of all the time. "You ain't got money you ain't got no friends" ha ha he knows life and he has so much soul I am suprised he has'nt haunted this song. What am I saying he has when he hits them driving riffs he is totally supernatural that energy will never ever die. Fred you are a legend and make me grab my slide and try in vein to catch me some Freddy magic. The dogs b*llox ; - )

  • wooooow i didnt knew that clutch's electric worry is a cover! awesome!

  • @Odin029 How's this, blues brother.....?? You have made this thoughtful reply to my old comment on a Fred McDowell video,on the very day I sang "YOU GOTTA MOVE" at my father's funeral, Thanks. I have been 'moved

  • @Gregparkerblues I have to listen to Fred McDowell every now and then to remind myself how much I don't know about playing the slide. He makes me want to put my guitar in the case and take it to practice at the same time. Anyway, I think Sleepy John Estes was the first to record the line 'somebody baby, you ain't gonna worry my life anymore' Very unique and great bluesman in his own right.

  • @jahja52 went to see Alabama 3 at Hammersmith Palais Dec 09 and they were fanatstic..i've been a fan for a while :) My favourite song is Too Sick to Pray

  • Someday baby.........we all gonna slow down enough to really appreciate

his genius. That is like synaptic firings of fingers, spirt, vocal chords and

soul with incredible restraint of the howling pop blues folks in his day.

He had fire..........but not volume. Listen children. oh yes,

    Thanks who posted this arrangement.

  • He'll always stay in my mind......thx 4 uploadin' this precious little diamond
