this was in the town of Bienno, Italy. This was in one of the many magli in the northern region of Italy.

this is inside the maglio showing the frer at work in the beginning stages of making buckets. here they take a thick plate of steel and draw it into a circular shape, drawing out the edges but keeping the center still quite thick. more to come...

the technology inside the magli is something quite impressive. it ha water powered "trip hammers", water powered maglietti ("planishing hammers"), water powered shears, as wel as water powered air flow to keep the furnace hot.

  • il pezzo iniziale è un quadrato (si vede nel filmato) di circa 20 cm di lato; 6/8mm di spessore; alla fine il secchio ha la capienza di circa 10lt ma si possono fare più piccoli ed anche molto più grandi. Altri particolari su "Bienno forgiatura dei secchi"

  • Si possono sapere le dimensioni del pezzo iniziale e soprattutto la capacità del contenitore finito (5,10,15 litri)?
