Cuisine of Uzbekistan 2011

History has a strong influence on Uzbek Cuisine. Conquests and conquerors have left strong traces in the cuisine which were adapted to suit local taste. Persian ,Mongol and Indian foods have merged with ethnic local flavours to make Uzbekistan cuisine unique,Meal times are fun times here !

We loved the food in Uzbekistan - especially the shashlik - the plov was variable depending on the vendors but in general the food was awesome - we really had fun eating in Uzbekistan.

@durbanbay , Thank you for watching and commenting, we loved the food in Uzbekistan too , you are right about the plov :-) , the plov i liked most was in a little restaurant in Bukhara . and i really liked the Samsa as a tea time snack... the bread as a form looked very interesting , it takes an acquired palette to appreciate it !

@FarhodHojiev .. oh those Russians ! ( those were actually Russians doing " rah rah" as they clinked the glasses at the restaurant and one of the people out there made that comment which i captured!) :-))
