I heard in Romancing Saga you get powerful by hitting yourself and nearly zapping your magic like Final Fantasy II for Famicom, is that true?

@Mewseeker I could. it is just, I am "tired" of sigining up on forums" in my internage, from moving into it in 19?? it feels like I had made 50+ accounts.

so can I just ask here, in the PS2 one I find I can pass the minions by. is this good idea or bad?

@kuwaizair Ummm... Maybe that you should give a look to the Romancing Saga message boards at gamefaqs. But the general consensus is to not worry to much about that stuff in your first playthrough and grind only at the end of the game and use defense mode weapons for best results in the PS2 version.

@kuwaizair The WSC version has all of the content missing from the SFC, you can get all 10 Destiny stones and fight Schirach. The audio isn't as good though.

@Mewseeker what about overall? all i know now is the ps2 one(sans booklet) and wonder if playing the orginal is worth it. I'm not getting the max out of the game I should, and do lots of things wrong(like not playing with spell syntisis)

the changes to characters, are they good? Is the old Barbra only differnt in looks?

I am having hard time moving plot along, so I don't know what to do now. my events are all jumbled. and walkthough is still confusing.

@TraumaFox is that one better than snes? i saw on a nother video that it dosen't have ablity to get some fate stones... and then that the audio of wsc is bad

@kuwaizair It could be argued. The triangle fight formation isn't necessarly easier in the remake and unlike the original, you can't use items to get full recovery before the final battle.

What the remake have over the original is that it's more balanced and polished in general.

That being said, unexpected encounters against the strongest random monsters can end the game quite fast.

If you're not ready for it, Firebird, Snowstorm and Darkness wave can end the game pretty fast. X D

Just change the way you feel and you'll be fine. : D

But seriously, the battle with those three at the end isn't so bad since the Event Rank don't matter anymore,

monster don't level up anymore and you can take all the time you need to level up and buy all your stuff.

On top of that, you can use a "potion" that have the same effect as an inn before the battle.

And the flame shield spell or Phantom Warrior make really good shields.

With the flame shield spell, they don't really hit hard.
