Get online with your Kindle Fire through ur Smartphone(when there is no Wifi)

Go online anywhere, anytime on the kindle fire!!! When there is no wifi in the area, Use your smartphone to create a wifi hotspot which lets you connect to the internet on your Kindle Fire. I used my LG Esteem Metropcs phone to do this, you can do it with almost any smartphone.

********************INSTRUCTIONS******************
1. My phone is the LG Esteem and I have 4G unlimited internet.

Finally after trying over 6 different tether apps, I thought I could not use my phone to get the Kindle fire online. All the apps wanted to use ad-hoc wifi mode, that will not work on the kindle fire. You need to use infrastructure mode on your phone for the kindle fire to see it.

2. Finally, I found my answer. I went to the android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users website, Go here: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list

3. This site shows all beta and unreleased versions of the app which is what I needed. I Had to use the wifi_tether_v3_1-pre101.apk version of the app which is still a version in progress(beta).

4. Then install the app on my phone and in the app settings it says "Change Device-Profile" I clicked that and chose "LG Optimus S" as my phone. Yea I know I have LG esteem but it is not listed.

5. Once i did this, I clicked "press to start tethering" on my phone and my kindle fire can see my phone in its list of wifi to connect to and it can now connect with 4G speed through my LG esteem phone.

Do this and you have unlimited internet anytime and anywhere on your kindle fire.

I love you thank you so much for doing this vid. the only problem is my phone turns off sometimes and after connecting i have to turn it off and turn it back on for it to work. my question is does it have an update???
