Inspired by the amazing soundtrack from the Phoenix Wright games, GM editor Kirk Hamilton took out his instruments (Guitars, Flute, Mallets, Clarinet, Whistling, Percussion, and Keyboards) and recorded an original arrangement of "Maya Fey's Theme," also known as "Turnabout Sisters," composed by the amazing Masakazu Sugimori.

It came together pretty triumphantly, so we edited some screenshots and fan art from all over the internet into a tribute to Phoenix, the Feys, and the beloved cast of the Phoenix Wright games.

An MP3 of Kirk's arrangement is available for download at: http://www.kirkhamilton.com/music/Maya%20Fey%27s%20Theme.mp3

  • I also followed the Kotaku article here and was delighted to listen to this track. Any possibility the MP3 link could be re-uploaded somewhere?

  • Nice cover version, man! Thanks for sharing the originals, as well - followed your link from kotaku.com/5881103/. Could we have some more, please, sir?

  • A shame the download link is gone, this is great.

  • I downloaded this months before Kotaku, and it's still played in my favorite playlists on Kotaku. I've always believed that the music in games is one of the most important parts, and I'm happy to see someone who understands that even better than I. Thank you for making this and writing your article on Kotaku.

  • amazing music, i love it. this type is what i completely miss from the heyday of JRPGs. the music is so fitting to the scene/going ons of the moment in the game and you just get lost in the enjoyment. thanks!

  • Utterly brilliant...I just wish that the download link worked so that I could listen to this at work.

  • Sadly your download link is dead

  • How does this not have 1,000,000 views?!

  • Haha, that was actually pretty cool! Never thought I'd hear an arrangement like this, but the choice of instruments works really well! Good job!
