  • These are not "jet boats" in any way and the V hulls did not hit 100mph back in that era..

    The 41 Apache's were hitting mid 80's 90 - calm or rough water.

    (A cat boat boat ( turbine engine) did the 103 mile course in 53 minutes averaging 145 MPH not too long ago)

    45 minutes to do a 53 mile run @ 50 mph ??

  • Bimini is approx 55 miles from Ftl/Miami...the Apache Warpath ran 93-94 MPH in smooth waters, and could run 90 MPH in rough 6 foot seas.

  • They start the run just offshore from Haulover  Inlet - knocks off a couple off - Then who knows who is using what mileage ( nautical, statute etc) ... But hey what's a few miles and MPH's between friends!!

  • 45min. doin 50mph. these jet boats hit 100mph easy so do the math. getin my jet boat ready for that trip as i type. wish me luck

  • how long does it take from miami to bimini with that boat?
