New Forest Escape is easy, and talk to falling Kokiri guy

This is my method of doing pokeypummel17's new forest escape. Basically if you look at the wall at approximately the angle shown in this video without angling your sword towards the wall, you can repeatedly stab the wall, press A, move back into position, and try again. This pretty much guarantees you will succeed in under 30 seconds, so it is a good method for speed runs.

Also, I doubt I was the first person to discover this, but you can talk to the Kokiri guy as he is falling to his death. Good times.

I can't get this to work. If I try to ISG when the sword is already out, I get ISG but I don't clip into him. When I try as shown, Either I press A too early and the sword never fully comes out, or I press it too late and Link doesn't acknowledge it. What am I doing wrong?

@InsomPsycho If Link doesn't acknowledge that you pressed A, that still means you are pressing A too early. If you press it too late you talk to the Kokiri guy but don't clip through him, so aim for somewhere in between the two.

@antony763 Nope. There is a Door of Time skip that you can (theoretically) do as soon as you leave Kokiri Forest, though you need bombs/bombchus from Dodongo's Cavern to to 99% of the level skips later on.
