This is a video of the engine test after it had warmed up. This is the first time this engine has been started in over 3 years. It came out of a wrecked 2002 Suzuki GSXR 750. I mounted the engine into a Barracuda chassis, which I made myself. The plans are available from Edge, www.edge.au.com It will be finished by mid june, and I will upload more vids as I get them.
Approximate weight will be 900 lbs with 125 hp at the crank. I'm expecting 100 hp at the wheels. Top speed is geared for just over 100mph, although I won't do much over 70 in the sand.
Total cost to build was around 5 grand, with countless hours of fabrication. If you would like to learn more about these awesoem buggies, please visit www.minibuggy.net Thanks!
AWESOME! My bro and i are making a piranha with an old gsxr 750 engine. What year model is yours? Ours is either 92 or 93. We are ripping it apart and rebuilding it. We have taken it down to to the piston rods already. We needed a carb rack(on the way!) exhaust manifold and all of exhaust shit and, the oil pan and stuff like that. We are also going to replace EVERY gasket including head gasket.

The engine is a 2002 GSXR 750. Luckily I didn't have to rebuild this engine, which would have set me back another month. I should have it moving by the middle of june. I will post some more videos next week when I get time.
