  • and your not allowed to switich whatever stroke you want to do until you finish a lap and turn.

  • I think it is legal because it is freestyle. It is "free", meaning you are free to choose any movement/ stroke you like to do to finish the race. Of course, those standard rules, eg. max. 15m underwater in starts and turns, still apply.

    Swimmers usually just use crawl stroke in freestyle races because it's supposed to be faster.

  • which is logical because there is more power transmetted to the water... The bad part about that is that you are less efficient with your arms.
