In this incredible film, feminist Emily Davison throws herself under the horse at the 1913 English Derby. And, according to the historians, she was NOT killed instantly, but died four days later in hospital of her horrific injuries.

  • Yes, this woman was extremely sexist, prejudiced, violent & SELFISH! What about hurting the jockey or the horse? Oh, that's right they were males so that made it okay in the minds of femi-sexist fucks running in here to proclaim her some heroine . . . Sad!

  • That's what you get from not staying in the kitchen.

  • @Hazzmania1234 actually it died haha

  • you people saying that she was an idiot make me sick

i bet al you ever do is sit around playing call of duty thinking that your hard you dont have half the guts of women like her

  • @Vevey2004 How on earth is she 'uncaring and selfish'? She was trying to make a point and help all women not only of their generation but for the future aswell! She wasn't delibratley killing her self. You call that selfish? What are you?????

  • also the jockey of the horse couldnt forgive himself for Emily dying and committed suicide years later.

  • Some people really need to do their research before attempting to write about historical figures. Emily Davison was a suffragette, true, but she was also violent and had been in and out of prison many times for violent crimes against men, it is believed she may have been brain damaged after throwing herself down the stairs at strangeways prison. Nobody knows why she jumped infront of the house, but the most believed is that she was trying to attach a WSPU flag to the kings horse.

  • @Pringles352

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the suffragettes...

it's just a a coincidence they have a similar first name.

  • @Vevey2004 while her cause was not helped by her actions that day first actually consider whether or not she intended to die that day for instance, if she really wanted to die why did she have numerous appointments for the days after June 4th?

  • @catheadification This had nothing to do with women getting the vote. Women got the right to vote after they proved they could do a 'man's' job in the factories and still take care of their families during the war. Most people thought this lady was a lunatic.
