SMRI Super vintage race 8/5/07

This was Pete and his buddy's first time at our track. Pete races a ultra super cool Yamaha TZ 750 4 cylinder 2 stroke dedicated race bike that literally destroyed all on comers in the early 70's. We are talking 180 MPH on skinny tires and rims, and the stoneage predecessor to the monster GP 500's. These were total animals of a race bike in spegetti frames. Super valuable and very rare. I give Pete "cudos' for racing his. And unfortunately, his bike is the one crashed in the hairpin during the race. He is fine, and the bike did well enough to race later in the day.

I raced a tz750 for 6 yrs in afm and ama at sears point and other west coast tracks. absolutely loved it... would still have it exsept it was stolen by crack head relative..

750 2 Stroke awesome ... great to hear and see them in action. I saw some nice ones at the Barry Sheene Memorial in Sydney.
