  • what is the general time line of making ginger beer and what are the components of ginger beer?

  • because i made the ginger beer from a brew kit in a can it took 5 days for fermentation then a further 3 weeks before i could drink one, they were very smooth and quite light to taste, around 3.5% alcohol. am planning on making some more soon!

  • What did your mead taste like then, it's over 2 years ago now, please let me know because i've got some on the go!!! :D lol

  • Hey mate, do you have a mead recipe that you always make or are you new to mead making? I'm new to mead making myself. This weekend I just made up a 10 liter batch of mead that is busy fermenting away. I used 3.5 kilograms of honey, 2 and a half teaspoons of yeast nutrient, 20g of tartaric acid, 2 pinches of tannic acid and 6g of dry champagne yeast pitched at 26°C. I want a sweet mead so I'm going to add another kilogram of honey when I do my first racking.

  • hey mate, i used a home brew kit which had all the ingredients in it all i had to add was sugar and water. Theyre about $15 NZ and make 4 dozen beers mean! have you done much brewing?
