The following lyrics to Cemetry Gates were borrowed from this scene in the 1942 film:

all those people all those lives
where are they now?
with loves, and hates
and passions just like mine
they were born
and then they lived
and then they died
seems so unfair
I want to cry.

  • There is a lot more of that lyric in this film script that isn't here. 'There's always someone with a big nose who knows, etc..' and 'They were born and then they lived and then they died, seems so unfair, I want to cry..' It's all in this movie.
