hows i only figured out why her name was Madusa.... and she always wore the american flag stuff.... Mad + USA = Madusa

@999xander999 I look back at the comments here; any of the following: Bull, Reggie, Lola Gonzalez and to some extent Madusa would not only thrash the current divas but make most of them look like fools in ring-which is even worse than Bull Nakano beating the hell out of them.
-
@cooperhawk1 Lola was my #3 favorite women's wrestler of all time and a shame she is not better known in US; my favorite woman wrestler, no, not my beloved Bull but the USA's own Reggie Bennett; Nakano-san is #2.
-
@WWETrishMickiefan No not always but like Trish and Mickie they went back and forth-Bull did defeat Madusa in the first ever one on one match in Japan in 1994 and their last ever match in US in 1996.
-
@Cokedlr And Madusa is way in front of Trish wrestling wise.
-
@XSC3 Lord Alfred Hayes and "Mr. America" Gorilla Monsoon. When Bull returned to WWF in 1994, Monsoon would diss her to the max-usually about being "fat". Yea, you get the irony.

it is interesting to watch the various appearances of joshi in wwf & wcw. their matches are defiantly shorter and they use fewer moves (or different ones than they usually use). you've got to give them credit for being adaptable. I also like to see american wrestlers going to japan and how they do over there (hulk hogan vs. the great muta for example, amazing)
-
@RPenta I wish I still had that video of a wcw match where bull & dump are fighting some blonde american women and that british announcer (lord whats his name) keeps complaining about how ugly and unladylike they are. ;) Nakano gives him the finger too, if I recall correctly.
-
@RPenta under all the makeup and crazy hair and such she's not a bad looking woman even today. I liked the joshi culture of having women of all sizes and shapes and characters to make up their rosters, not trying to make every one a glamor girl. so some wrestlers went out of their way to be "ugly" not just in their actions but in their looks as well.
-
@charlietjr the other thing is that in japan nakano was nowhere near the "worst girl" and was positively adorable and heroic compared to some of the others. ;) but in America she had to take the top spot as quickly and cheaply as possible. so I guess what I'm saying is I can't really blame them for how her character was used. it's too bad she got caught with drugs, or maybe it could have gone further (or maybe they would have ruined her like so many other angles, who knows)
She would destroy most of the WWE diva's. Can u imagine Kelly Kelly or the Bella's going at it with Bull lol..
