@marines13r Does it matter if you are a volley or a full time firefighter? Yes...See Volleys respond from home or work to either the FD or to the scene. In route you want everybody to see me coming so I will make sure I have 360 degrees of coverage on my POV. Front, Side and rear. The more lights I have the better I can be seen. Weather can dictate what lights are used or time of day also. Some go for simple due to cost of LED's and other lights.

See? Why do a large majority of vollies put SO MUCH on their truck? I take you guys seriously.. If you look threw some of these vids there are trucks thats are just... light shows. Not even emergancy vehicles! I know the more lights you have the safer but.. invest some of that money somewhere else. Hell my buddy, all he has is a small minibar, Not LED, its just simple one solid color, two bulb rotator wheelen light bar that he has had since he first started YEARS ago... Simple and effective.

that's the sort of setup i'll be using here in a few months. i'm planning on volunteering for the local FD, but I also storm chase and like to have rear facing amber, hazards just don't do it for me..
i understand the amber, it'll still move traffic with a siren.

i hear ya but my company bought it for me and i have to have it on my job sites. I would make it blue in a second if i didnt need amber!!
