This old tv commercial is totally unbelievable! In the Flintstones' first season on ABC, the original sponsor was Winston Cigarettes. If they tried this today they would have a riot on their hands!

I guess "Flintstones" should have been changed to "Lighter fluid" after this commercial.

It would be easier to read and answer your question if you learned to use the shift key and paragraphs.
But yes, that's generally how it works, except that it's not really a "high", it's more like a "relief" of the anxiety, craving, and the unbearable feeling that starts building up after enough time has passed since your last 'fix'. Then the process repeats. I used to try to endure as long as I could, because the 'fix' also lowered my sensitivity and general feeling otherwise. Why do you ask?

What does "lieing" mean, oh master of imaginative nicknames ("1234"? REALLY? That's like the secret lock combination in the movie Spaceballs)?

You duplicated the six mistakes you made in your other comment, and then you added two more! So you make two slightly different posts, without bothering to correct the glaring errors and mistakes in it, and simply add a couple of words! So you are both lazy AND stupid - why doesn't that surprise me..?

2) Sentences begin with a capital letter.
3) Sentences end with a dot, exclamation point, question mark or in rare cases more than one dot.
4) You didn't use a comma (after "was") to clarify what you are saying. Your post is confusing.
5) The word "its" has NO apostrophe.
6) "Sponsors" does NOT have an "e" in it.
So you type seven words and manage to create six mistakes in your post! WOW! That has got to be some kind of a record. Congrats, you'd easily win the stupidity award of the year.

Wow, your tiny post contains so many mistakes that I don't think I am able to list them all. Let's begin.
1) No, it wasn't. It was targeted for adult audience, because drawn format allows more flexibility and there are only voice actors to deal with - less fuss, easier to mass-produce, probably cheaper, etc. There were lots of cartoons like that.
2) I will have to continue on another comment - there aren't enough characters left in this one.

Those cigarettes look HUGE, too - if they sold cigarettes of that relative size to the human body (not that their bodies look relative to any normal human body in size or shape), I would probably still be smoking, too. Would be kind of cool to smoke a cigarette as big or bigger than a good-sized cigar!

You mean the bad grammar in ".. like a cigarette should", when it should be ".. as a cigarette should"?

Besides, kids in the 1950s didn't park themselves in front of the TV during daytime - they ACTUALLY went outside (*gasp*) and played with other kids! Unbelievable, isn't it?

It's "kiddies", not "kiddy's". Apostrophe in most cases indicates POSSESSION, not plural. And this is one of those cases. You who worship the 'american typos' make me sick. Learn english first, type comments after that.
