Observe the light-bluish glow from the left side of the device [right side in the movie], as the camera's sensor picked up the otherwise invisible light from the infrared LED. Also, the choppiness in the display does not occur in real life; it is merely an artifact of the display refresh rate and video frame rate not being completely in sync.
