An unusually revealing interview by Leyton Summers from the 1990s. For this show, he has dropped his Elvis persona and is speaking as himself. He tells us about auditioning for This Is Elvis in 1981 as well as giving us a rare insight into his private thoughts regarding the Elvis and ETA industry as it was at that time.
Leyton Summers was the UK's greatest ever Elvis impersonator. In 1981, he was very nearly cast in the movie This Is Elvis but eventually Johnny Harra got the part. A successful career in Elvis promotions and worldwide TV projects followed. Leyton was not strictly an Elvis singer or impersonator, but he would sing occassionaly. He is greatly missed. RIP.
@kingwilly23 Oh, god this is laughable, man. About the comment it really sounds as if I was talking to the guy, but I was just...talking. It is really funny, because you don't tell a dead man to work on his accent, or his belly or whatever. I didn't know he had died, though.

@890slay Who are you talking to? It sounds like you wrote your comment to Leyton himself- but I'm sorry to tell you he is dead. So unfortunately it is useless for you to be telling him to work on his accent.

You don't sound like Elvis at all. You should work on doing American accent, then it'll work...
