  • great stuff! but can you use subtitles for us that live in the States? Joking. Best video review series i've seen. thanks for your hard work!

  • @knownpornographer lol cheers

  • Really been enjoying your videos. :) I think a lot of Ubuntu users are moving to other distros, Xubuntu and Linux Mint in particular I've found, to get away from Unity. It could just be that people have grown so used to Gnome that anything else is uncomfortable, but it's hard to deny that Unity currently is full of bugs and inconsistencies.

  • @ElasticGiraffe Im getting on well with Unity, but it required a few workarounds.

Yes a lot of people are moving away from Ubuntu, Im noticing my view count for 11.10 videos is about a quarter of similar 11.04 vids

  • which takes less RAM Xubuntu or Linux mint ?

  • @weberllara I've been using Unity and Ubuntu 11.04 for the past couple of months or so and I think Unity is brilliant

  • @quidsup If you consider the gnome3 sucks, Unity is surely worse.

  • how to install nvidia drivers i have gtx 285 plz help

  • @mortemdei

i got xubuntu 11.04 on my 1000he eee pc with a ssd and 2 megs ram, and it boots stupidly quick. good choice.

  • @libertyforever76 Yeah its a good trick to speed things up. I've done that with doing a full disk backup on old laptops.

For an old computer like that I would have thought its better to stick with the LTS releases and go with something lighter like Lubuntu or Bodhi Linux.

No sense in having brand new software available if the system isn't capable of running most of it.
