The point is that Tanner was using life expectancy statistics as spin for his argument that requiring ID affects white elderly voters more than minority voters in general. Except there are other factors at play — like higher voter participation among minority elderly — which more than offset life expectancy. He didn't bother to do that research because he wouldn't have wanted to see data that disproves his premise. I'm not calling him a racist; I'm calling him an incompetent political hack.

But he was using this to say that the bill proposed, which was to require I.D. of the voter, which would make it harder for generally more liberal minorities to vote, was not hurting the minority voters, but rather the white voters, which is untrue.

What is the problem with what he said? Statistic prove that black people especially black males have a lower life expectancy than white people! Plus he said it was because of inequalities in his original statement! This is just another attempt for Democrats to play gotcha, when there is nothing to truly be got!

They are making the wrong point. Democrats are responsible for massive voter fraud. They oppose requiring a picture ID for voting because it ends such fraud. Everyone, minorities included, have an ID.
