When you actually think of the fact that there was literally NOTHING in this Age but the clothes on his back when he got there, the things he built is absolutely MIND-BLOWING! He sort-of deserved to be free just for that, even if he was a psychopath...

@ToaSirian Yes, it's LIVE integration programming used in Myst IV, I believe, but they used live actors for all the first 4 games.
-
@Posterdude95 That wasn't exactly his problem :)
-
do they use realz ppl in the game?
if, its awesome

One of the most powerful scenes in the game; possibly what pushed him beyond redemption. I liked the pathos.
(Fridge logic, though: Why did he spend years building his levitator to get to the nearest island to find this out, instead of using that same rope to climb down his own island? Or was it too dangerous to go through the cloud layer unexposed?)
-
he could just...climb back up.
-
See what happens when you spend 10 years on a plan instead of 20.
-
@pisoprano He made sophisticated flying machines, and yet you don't think he could make clothes?

No, Atrus wrote those two prison ages to satisfy those characteristics...adventure in Haven, treasure in Spire. They weren't written catered towards the boys, just those specific characteristics. Atrus was shocked to find that they had trapped themselves in those Ages.
I do think that Spire was a very poor prison age, though.
