@Pisceaneye20 Human greed and its lack of ability to look and understand whats beond his own backyard will be our ultimate downfall!
-
@matchstick181 Sadlt history continues to throw up the same sad mistakes and poor errors of judgement. Gallipoli was a bloodbath with too many lives on both sides.
-
@matchstick181 look at the somme to see a failure in the brittish high comaand,montgomry was over market garden in WW2 that was a failure also
-
@bobgladstone another bad judgment by the brittish army,look at world war 1,the germans had far fewer casualties during shelling because they had underground bunkers,the brits wudn do that because they thought it would make the troops soft,blown 2 bits over officers opinions

@ChrissBeehh what a dosey cunt.

@matchstick181 Churchill and Lord Fisher made terrible mistakes in the planning, supplying and implementation of the Gallipoli campaign. The commanders on the land made poor judgement calls and should have taken the high ground within 48 hours but failed to do so allowing the Turks to command the high ground and with it victory. A terrible loss of life for all concerned.

@sarahberg39 It was Churchills great idea to land forces on Gallopili,unlike D-Day during WW2 it was a failure, the intellegence was poor and the forces facing the beach were slaughterd and it was an epic failure thousand were cut down and murderd it was a blood bath,a miltary blunder of epic proportions

@fntime Only by looking to and learning from the past can we alter the future.
