Kamban says "though I may be damned for this bad translation I attempt it in order to herald to the world the greatness of Valmiki's work".

Realized as an afterthought that that quote paralleled self to the Poet. To resist that I referred to mine as the desire of a mere கட்டுத்தறி from the expression: கம்பன் வீட்டுக் கட்டுத்தறியும் கவிபாடும்.
