    It is the price which is in cell B2 times (1 - discount percentage). The discount is determined by multiplying the price x discount percentage. The sale price is determined by multiplying the price x (1 - discount) which gives you the remaining price percentage amount. For example, a $100 item with a 10% discount sells for $90 (100 * (1-.10)) or 100 * .90.

  • @markoamanita1981 the 1 was added so that the formula can now be copied and pasted without rewriting all of the different discount percentages. by adding the 1 the formula can autmatically calculate each individual discount percentage.
