a song originally sung by Pat Boone and written by his father-in-law Red Foley. It was also covered by Doc Watson.

Nice and tight boys! Good vocals too.

Gary Daniel Bruce was the writer of "Moody River". I don't think Red Foley or Pat Boone ever wrote anything. Boone was an opportunist who quickly would quickly cover a heartfelt song and water in down.

Hi again,
Where did you get the info that Red Foley wrote Moody River?
On the internet, everyone says that Gary D. Bruce wrote the music and lyrics.
As far as I could see, you are unique in your Red Foley attribution.
Can you confirm it? I'd sure like to know before I do it on stage.
Thanks, Mitoguitarman
