The NTAV UCS PC CAVE is a virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) immersive environment supported by commodity based clusters of low cost PCs that can be or not connected to the internet. These reconfigurable immersive cube with multiprojetions AR and VR systems are also named Pocket CAVEs. The name Pocket Cave is coined by the group of Delan Project (Distributed Euro Latin-American Network of Commodity Clusters for Immersive and Augmented Environments) in which we are taking part among 12 international institutions. The clusters is composed by 04 computing units based on networks of low cost PCs, with graphics input/output capabilities, including projection screens). We checked many commercially available solutions. "Although this concept of Pocket CAVE, can be limited for high end industrial applications such as aeronautics, space, oil gas, weather forecasting and automotive, we understand that Pocket CAVEs incorporate an excellent price/performance relation for the applications envisaged on the DELAN framework".
