@candyrn16141 I totally agree with you. But it wasn't just that he was a drunk. He had chronic depression since childhood and the booze exacerbated his illness. A lush doesn't just go off and kill himself. What's really shitty is that the band wouldn't give him a $15K check he was owed, until he signed over half his publishing royalties. He was desperate for money, so he signed. Their fame grew due to songs that "he" wrote. There's loyal friends for you. I guess the dollar comes first.
