Mario Kart Wii: Multiple Mushrooms In First?

A video I cut down to the last lap of the race because this is where the odd occurance happened for me. I had been racing early in the morning (like 4-5am) and only had 4 racers total for a couple of games and for some reason, I got a mushroom while in first MORE than one time.
The first time it was on Bowser's Castle, where I was in first vs these same racers. Thinking it was a fluke, I went and raced on Bowser Castle 3 with them where it happened again. Hoping to have it happen again, this time with me recording now, I picked BC3 again hoping to try to record some footage and got lucky.

In total, I got 5 mushrooms. It wasn't all at once, which is the same way it occured for me on the races before, although I got less. Each time though, I was in first place, on the final lap.

I know 'shrooms in first are possible,I mean heck, I've gotton single ones before too, but I've NEVER gotton 5 in one go before like this. Unfortunately, the next game after when I had 7 people racing and a lead, the 'shrooms never came. Just thought it was something interesting I'd share with people.

No, I've been playing solo since the day the game came out. If you've heard of the Unity clan [un], I hang around them alot on their site and in their World Wide races, but that's as close to a clan as I get. Just easier for me between work+college.

Why do you ask that? You saw for yourself the items I got. I'm not the only person either that has gotton a 'shroom in first like that. Although, mine wasn't necessarily one after the other.

Ugh everyone stop saying it's a hack. There are two possibilities here that I've experienced. 1. You are so far ahead the game just says " oh well " and gives you mushrooms so you can finish. Or 2. ( most accurate )( can only be done on certain courses) you get I think more than 25 item boxes or so in one race and you get infinite mushrooms

this trick can be VERY bad cause you will keep getting this mushroom EVEN you are beeing 12th

if you grab a bunch at once, the next will be a mushroom...
