@hairgenius1 Not kidding at all. Why stop at 86? Why not say 96 or 06? Hey you can even say it's still around if you want but that won't make it true. People did not call it disco past 1981 trust me dude. There was a big back lash against it. The music changed gradually and like I said morphed into other stuff like dance music, house, techno, hip hop etc. Label it how you want though.

There really wasn't much true disco in the eighties since the genre sort of died by 1980/81. It morphed into dance music and r and b, funk and rap.
