Fieldbrook road bike ride. Locals call this section the "whoop-de doos, because of the curves and hills. It's just south of my house, so I ride it a lot. A bit narrow for sharing the road with cars, but as long as they're sober and paying attention it's fine. I assume they're not and ride defensibly.

  • I ride that road practically every day, and I drive it, too. I'm a local, and I don't wear spandex. I watch out for cars and they watch out for me. And I can spell, too!

  • But hey, this is a great video!!!!

  • I must agree with trenchcoatbob1, although I don't like the way he put it.

Between logging trucks, deer, crazy drivers, and random trees across the road, Fieldbrook Road can get hairy. If I were coming around on the "whoop-de-doos", doing the speed limit, and I was looking at hitting a bicyclist, swerving into a tree, or swerving into a logging truck, my instinct would have me hit the tree. Now you see, I would then have no way of getting to work, because I have very basic auto insurance.

  • locals would like you to keep your spandex off there road!
