I agree the vinyl sounds much better and more natural, its not improved the breath and nature is ripped out the the music

  • The signal in the restoration version sounds too squashed. It's missing the essential dynamics of the original version which allow it to sound warmer, fuller, and overall more natural. Waves is good, but I recommend if you absolutely have to use a compressor to use FabFilter Pro-C. It's the best compressor I've come across out of all the ones I've used. Here's a video demonstrating the capabilities of Pro-C: watch?v=RkeJqtJGn0I

▬ I hope you've found this information to be somewhat of a help!

  • hmm, good, but use a proper preamp and connect the ground of the turntable to the preamp, then plug in the computer (main unit only), preamp and turntable into the same outlet (via a surge protector), this will amplify it properly, and eliminate the buzz

  • I've gotten absolutely wonderful results from two programs used together. They are ClickRepair, and Izotope RX. Izotope is amazing, and can remove difficult hiss, and ClickRepair excels at what the title would suggest it does, and does not damage the audio at all.

  • notice how much better the vinyl version sounds
