It's been 31 years that dance has been banned in Iran. In these 31 years, the government
of Iran has tried to eliminate the presence of women in society. The rights of women have
thus been ignored. Therefore, Khorshid Khanoom Dance Group invitees all the women and
men to come and dance in front of the Iranian Embassy in the capital of Canada, Ottawa.

Date: Monday, March 8th, 2010 (Womens Day)
Time: 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm
Location: the Iranian Embassy in the capital of Canada, Ottawa

  • This is all good. & this regime like all the regimes in the world, is blood thirsty.

    People sre good, but, all the politicians are crooks!

    The next Q should be; Why people had a revolution in 1978 and many others in the past 100 years?

    Also Google Operation AJAX.

    A: People need to become good, its a personal responsibility!

    Kourosh was born among good people.

    The government does not make people, people make the government! Look at most Iranians in US, Canada. Who can you trust?

  • @TomSolivin you are 100% right

  • در فرهنگ دزدان اشغالگر

    دزدی= غنیمت

    تجاوز = صیقه

    دروغ = تقیه

    خوردن مشروب = الواتی

    رقص و پایکوبی = قرتی بازی

    هموطن، زمان ان رسیده که فرهنگ و زبان خود را از این الفاظ نکبت پاک کنیم

  • Exquisite dancing! Pure joy! I so admire these wonderful women!

  • This is a beautiful dance!

    Good job, girls and ladies!

    Unfortunately your sistersare opressed by right-wing Islam, so called Islamic fundamentalism, in Iran. So they can freely practice their own national dances here!!!

  • Zendeh bad artesh Korosh zamin.

    Ma hame Ba ham hastim,.

    Dorood be zanan Iran zamin

    Marg bar mozdoran.mulls sefat,.

    Man az nasle korosham,

    Ke bazre khoshi bar zamin mikesham

  • I respect what Allatoya (Did I spell it right?) wants to do since it came to power in early 70's, not politically right, though. I just don't understand why this dance would be banned. I have seen this before and it is beutiful, and culturaly very rich. Thanks for sharing.
